But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
(Acts 1:8)
This poem is dedicated to all those who lost their lives in the WTC and Pentagon Tragedies, their families and all who helped during this sad time in American history.  9/11/01
1.  It brings glory to God -- John 15:8.
2.  The Lord commands us to witness
-- Matthew 4:19; John 15:16.
3.  Men are lost without Christ
-- 1 John 5:11,12.
4.  Men are receptive to the gospel in most countries. Hundreds of thousands of surveys taken throughout the world indicate that an average of one out of two to one out of four, depending on the country, will receive Christ the first time they hear the good news of God's love and forgiveness --
Colossians 1:6; 1 Thessalonians 1:5.
5.  The love of Christ constrains us
-- 2 Corinthians 5:14. This love is expressed not by the emotions, but by the will. One should never wait for an emotional impression to share one's faith in Christ.

I was late waking up today and called my boss  to let him know as I was on my way out the door.  I hurried into what had become the normal rush hour traffic…
just another day at the office.
Start and stop traffic for what seemed like hours.  As I sat there waiting, I realized that in my rush to get out the door this morning, I had not taken time for my normal daily devotions. So I took this time to pray.
I prayed that today I would have an opportunity to tell someone at work of Christ’s love
and I prayed that I would model that love in my life before them.
I had always been afraid of what they would think of me...just another day at the office.
I now could see my office building ahead.  I wondered what my boss would have to say about my being late.  I wondered…wait, there goes a jet.
But no, it’s too low!  It’s going to hit the…
Just another day at the office, Just another day, Just another day…in eternity.

As you recognize Christ working in your life, you will want to tell others about Him and what He is doing for you. This can be relatively easy when the Holy Spirit is your guide and when you have a few Scriptures ready to share. God's Word is like a seed which, when planted in the human heart, can bear fruit for eternal life (John 4:36). Here are a few suggestions to help you "plant the seed" of God’s Word:

1.  Familiarize yourself with the Scriptures.. Try to memorize verses, so that you can quote them with confidence.
2
.  Begin to pray for individuals with whom you might share Christ. Trust God to provide the opportunities for you to talk with them, and the wisdom to know what to say.
4.  Spend time with these friends. Win their confidence by doing things with them and for them. If they see that you really care about them, they will be more likely to listen when you present the Gospel to them.
5.  Pray for opportunities to mention Christ in casual conversation. For instance you might simply ask, "What do you think happens after death?" or, "How do you think a person becomes a Christian?" Listen to their ideas and then say, "Here's what I believe." In giving your answer, quote Scriptures, especially those included here.
6.  Take your friends to evangelistic services and discuss the message with them afterward.
7.  Start a Bible class in your home and invite your non-Christian friends. Read a chapter of the gospel of John each week. Allow time for questions and discussion. Let the Holy Spirit speak to people through the Word.

Try to make it clear that becoming a Christian involves a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You don't become a Christian by being good, by doing the best you can, or by joining a church, but by personally receiving Christ--by trusting in Him as your personal Lord and Savior.
